Privacy information for voucher purchases
Controller
The controller responsible for processing your data when you buy and redeem vouchers is Salon Bella Inh. Bella Hoffmann, Bella Hoffmann, Lindenstraße 12, 80331 München, bella@demo.test, 089 1234567.
Which data and why
When you order a voucher we process your name, e-mail address, billing address, optionally your phone number, the delivery address for postal delivery, and the details printed on the voucher (names, personal message). We use this data to perform the contract: to create and send the invoice and voucher, allocate payments, remind you of outstanding payments and redeem the voucher. For free vouchers we only process your name, e-mail address and optionally your phone number in order to issue and send the voucher and match it when redeemed. The legal basis is performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for the retention of invoices, our legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Technical service provider
The voucher shop is operated technically by Muster Software GmbH (Demo) (Beispielweg 1 12345 Musterstadt). The provider processes the data solely on our behalf and under our instructions on the basis of a data processing agreement.
Thank-you notes and similar vouchers
When the voucher is redeemed we ask the recipient whether they would like to thank you. Only if they wish to do so, we send you their thank-you by e-mail – without details of the amount redeemed; the recipient does not learn your e-mail address. In this e-mail we present similar vouchers of ours, provided you were informed of this at the time of purchase (section 7(3) UWG; legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time – via the link in the e-mail or informally to us. If you object, we store only a checksum of your e-mail address so that we can honour your objection.
Reviews
Links to our review profiles and trust seals (e.g. Google, ProvenExpert, Trusted Shops) lead to these providers’ websites; their privacy policies apply only once you click. We do not embed any content or scripts from these providers in the shop. We only ask you for a review by email if you agreed at checkout or expressly asked for it in person (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – once, and at most every 180 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time, e.g. via the link in the email. To make sure nobody is asked more than once, we only store a checksum of your email address.
Stored-value card
If you use a stored-value card we store the card number, balance and your transactions (top-ups and payments with date and amount) as well as – where provided – your name, e-mail address and phone number. We use this information to manage the card, send you receipts and transfer the balance if the card is lost (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Transactions are retained for up to ten years for tax reasons. Online top-ups are processed by the payment provider Stripe (see “Online payment”).
Retention period
We retain order and invoice data for as long as statutory retention periods require (generally up to ten years). Voucher data is stored at least until the end of its validity and redemption.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Simply contact us to exercise these rights.
Cookies and statistics
The voucher shop uses no tracking or advertising cookies and no third-party analytics services. We merely count on which day the shop was opened via which link (e.g. a link on Instagram) – without cookies, without IP addresses and without identifying individuals. If you order via such a link, we store the channel with the order so that we can assess the success of our advertising (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
